A Middling Addition to the City | Sikandra, Agra

The precinct can be seen as the result of a strategy adopted by the city development authorities to shift economic base from tourism to industry based economy to support migrating population coming to the city for employment. These migrants are coming from nearby villages or towns and most of them are living in the suburbs or fringes of the city. Precinct is one of such areas in the city where a large number of migrant population is living. With haphazard development of the precinct and absence of city development authorities services, area is becoming a very mediocre and middling fringe.
