Incrementalism in Small Town in India

The statistics from the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) survey (Jan, 2020) revealed that the contribution by smaller cities in rapid urbanization of India is much higher (34% of the total urban population in India lives in small towns of population range 10000 to 100000). Therefore, a sample study to understand the extent and patterns of urbanization in the small towns was carried out. This portfolio tries to put forward the findings from the study of a 1 Sq Km area (Precinct) from the town Shirpur. Shirpur is a small town from Northern Maharashtra showcasing incrementalism and interesting housing patterns.
