ELEMENTS OF URBAN DESIGN

This portfolio brings together three interconnected explorations in urban design. It begins with an in-depth study of Connaught Place, New Delhi—unpacking its street network, building edges, and movement patterns to understand how spatial form shapes urban life. Building on these insights, the second section proposes a redesign of IOC Road in Chandkheda, aiming to create a more inclusive and efficient streetscape through thoughtful zoning, pedestrian prioritization, and integration of local character. The final module shifts focus to the East Riverfront in Ahmedabad, where the design seeks to transform a disconnected edge into a vibrant public realm through strategic access points, heritage linkages, and layered activity zones. Collectively, these projects reflect a sensitivity to context, a focus on human experience, and an iterative design process grounded in urban realities.
