This studio explored urban public spaces through three connected exercises to develop a deeper understanding of urban design. The first focused on Bahariye Street in Kad?köy, Istanbul, studying elements of a vibrant, walkable street. The second involved redesigning Shyamal Cross Road in Ahmedabad to enhance pedestrian movement, safety, and public life. The final exercise examined Bapunagar Block, addressing issues of congestion and poor public spaces, with proposals for inclusive, context-sensitive interventions. Together, these exercises moved from observation to design, exploring how streets and blocks can be transformed into more livable, connected, and culturally rooted urban environments.
