Elements of Urban Design

The studio was structured as an introduction to urban elements, their representation, and the design of urban public places. The first part focused on Veer Nariman Road and Copacabana, where key elements of urban design were identified and represented to understand the functionality of any urban space. The second part focused on the design of public places, including detailed design of elements. The Shreyas Tekra under flyover space was explored to understand the scale, form, and character of key urban design elements and their relationship with the larger urban context.
