Elements of Urban Design

The studio is structured as an introduction to urban elements and design of urban public places. The studio comprises of two modules- Street design and Urban block and open space design. Street design develops a comprehensive understanding of the components that constitute streets and building types, both as an independent elements and in relation to the street, focusing on how they connect to the ground and contribute to the street character. Urban block and open space design aims to re imagine existing urban blocks in the city with a fresh perspective, understanding  the various elements that influence the quality of life in an urban block.
