BHOPAL 2041: Towards Compact and Sustainable Growth

Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, India, is a blend of history and modernity. Renowned for its scenic lakes and lush greenery, it boasts a rich cultural heritage. Its strategic location and burgeoning industries make it a promising hub for urban development initiatives. The city is experiencing growth towards the upcoming industrial town Mandideep, hence experiencing leap-frogging development. There needs to be a balance between existing greens, blues and its rich heritage, while further proposing for the city’s development. This project aims to propose a development plan focused on creating a compact, equitable, affordable and sustainable Bhopal by 2041.
