Heritage Meets Modernity: Kalupur’s Urban Fabric

The proposed Local Area Plan (LAP) tackles the challenges of Kalupur, a historically stagnant site now brimming with potential due to the High-Speed Rail project. Despite lacking adequate public infrastructure and open spaces, the plan envisions transforming the area into a high-density, modern urban hub. It prioritizes the creation of abundant urban public spaces, fostering community interaction, and promoting sustainable development. Simultaneously, the LAP aims to preserve and celebrate Kalupur's rich heritage, integrating monuments into the urban fabric. Enhanced connectivity through public transport will bridge the area to the broader city, paving the way for a balanced, inclusive, and progressive transformation.
