Keshav Nagar - A dynamic hub of growth and connectivity

In the foundation semester, students studied a 1 sq. km site, analyzing streets, built form, externalities, land use, development, municipal services, housing, jobs, and mobility. My assigned site, Keshav Nagar in Ahmedabad, showcases a mix of narrow traditional streets and wider modern roads, with diverse built forms ranging from low-rise homes to mid-rise apartments. Predominantly residential, it includes commercial hubs, schools, and small industries. Housing caters to various income groups, while job opportunities thrive through markets and industrial zones. Though municipal services are reliable, some areas face challenges. Efficient public transport ensures good connectivity despite occasional congestion.
