Elements of Urban design - Semester 02

The studio explored a variety of urban environments such as streets, open spaces and urban blocks, each of which presented distinctive opportunities of study, inquiry and representation. Each project had a distinct vision that was tailored to fit the urban environment in which it was situated providing an exhaustive interpretation of its context and a judicious representation of the same. The portfolio attempts to capture urban challenges that are inherent to our Indian cities and then explores street and block analysis on a global scale, concluding in with two placemaking projects in Ahmedabad, in an attempt to mend the urban issues of the myriad cities with context-driven urban design interventions.
