The studio was structured around three core urban design exercises, each exploring the interplay between streets, public spaces, and urban blocks in dynamic Indian contexts. The first exercise focused on Calicut Beach, a culturally significant urban edge in Kozhikode, Kerala. Through a detailed case study, the design aimed to balance heritage, ecological resilience, and public life, reimagining the beach as a vibrant, inclusive urban space. The second project, centered on New CG Road in Chandkheda, Ahmedabad, examined the transformation of a rapidly urbanizing arterial road into a safe, child-friendly, and culturally expressive street through tactical urbanism and community co-creation. The final exercise focused on the revitalization of Bopal Lake, Ahmedabad—an underutilized natural asset—into a resilient, multifunctional public space. This design integrated ecological restoration, climate adaptation, and community engagement to re-establish the lake as a central node in the evolving urban fabric.
