Sarkhej is a suburban neighborhood situated 8 km south of Ahmedabad’s city center. The peripheral areas of Sarkhej are experiencing rapid growth and development. Predominantly residential, the area also includes commercial establishments, institutional spaces, and vacant land. Sarkhej serves as a notable example of a ghetto, as people with similar backgrounds tend to reside there. While the area offers limited diversity, it holds significant cultural and historical importance for the city.
