Surat being one of the fastest growing Indian cities, the Surat development plan-2046 focuses on a compact city approach based on different factors such as transport, connectivity, market, impact of industries, environmental conditions, and upcoming special projects of the city and an exercise on existing situation analysis that helped students understand the intricacies of different layers of planning included in the preparation of a development plan.
