REDEFINING THE SPACE : FROM NEGLECT TO NEIGHBORHOOD

The project is based on the study of spaces under the flyover. With the rapid increase of urbanization in metro cities the need for land, and infrastructure tends to decrease void or public spaces in such cities. There are many spaces that could transform into well-designed urban voids. Amongst these spaces, residual spaces, under flyover have the potential to become engaging spaces. It began by documenting and analyzing the space under the flyover and its surroundings such as movement, utilities, activities, etc. Furthermore, the suggested design considers flexible spaces that one space can be used for different activities or events.
