A majority of Indian cities are growing rapidly towards the fringes, while the existing urban areas remain underutilized and ignored and Dwarka is one such site. Since the area was micro planned by DDA with the sole aim of catering to the increasing rapid population of Delhi, Dwarka has to failed to develop over a time to cater to the changing needs of urban living and housing. This attempt thus aims address these shortcomings.We look at how the street network, regulations and especially the land mechanism can come into play to transform the image of this city.
