As a part of the studio-phase II (Vision formulation for Rajkot) and phase III (pilot project study) for the envisioned Rajkot of 2033, a detailed project study was done under the theme of ‘Rurban –connect’ for the RUDA area. In this pilot project the need for ‘RURAL’ development was established followed by a detailed study on agriculture market linkages was done. After a thorough understanding of the existing conditions, an array of areas of interventions were envisioned to leverage on the existing agriculture potential of Rajkot, especially for the chosen cluster. Rajkot mega food park-to strengthen agricultural value chain was one of the detailed proposal for envisioned Rajkot.
