SCULPTING FRAMES

The project focuses on transforming the existing fort on the Sant Sarovar Dam site in Indroda Gam into a symbolic centerpiece, linking it visually and physically with the dam’s riverbed. Although currently abandoned and overgrown, the site remains popular among locals, who visit to enjoy the fort’s viewpoints and explore the pathways through the thicket of trees leading to the river. The objective is to shape areas of the site by following the natural contours and vegetation, while creating pathways that enhance accessibility. The fort will be reinforced with scaffolding interventions that preserve its authentic experience while ensuring safety. These scaffolding structures will extend throughout the site, connecting the fort to the riverbed, framing key viewpoints, and offering a recreational space for community activities. By carefully blending restoration and new interventions, the project will enhance the site’s historical and natural appeal, encouraging both exploration and community engagement.
