The project weaves the riverside site through various vegetation zones, creating an engaging network of streets and trails that meander through native scrubland, productive plantings, and wetland infrastructure. Currently, the site is dominated by both native and invasive species, with certain areas feeling disconnected and fragile. It lacks clear orientation, connections, and effective placemaking, hindering its productive potential. To address these challenges, vegetation is employed as a key strategy to foster orientation, discovery, and immersion, turning the site into an adventure for visitors. People coming to the site will have the opportunity to enjoy new and exciting ways to explore and interact with the landscape. This is achieved through a diverse array of native vegetation along the site's pathways. This strategic placement of flora will serve as a primary navigational aid, guiding visitors on an engaging journey of discovery through the revitalized landscape. The vibrant and thriving plants will not only provide clear wayfinding, but also foster a sense of immersion, allowing guests to fully embrace the site's rejuvenated ecosystem.
