Mahesana city is the district headquarters of the Mahesana District.It is strategically located and is a vibrant urban centre on a principle North South Urban Corridor along SH 41 in North Gujarat.This Project briefs the economy of Mahesana. It has a robust economy with backbones of ONGC and ancillary activities, Industrial units like GIDC estates and the Dudhsagar Dairy, APMC and other wholesale trade and Commerce activities. These economic centres are also freight attracting which has considerable demand on the resources of Mahesana. There are externalities caused by freight. This project suggests viable options to mitigate the freight flow issues.
