This project basically looks into the existing public transport systems In Rajkot and analyses the need of each of these PT systems.
Currently, the PT Ridership is very low in Rajkot. But, Rajkot being a medium sized city has a strong IPT system. In the coming 20 years, the PT will eventually have to strengthen but the presence of IPT cannot be ignored. Hence an Integrated PT & IPT systems have been proposed to cater to the increasing demand as well as keeping in mind the characteristics of the city.
