The premise of the project is simple- to democratize space, and to begin by democratising those aspects of the ‘urban’ which are fundamental rights and necessities to the stakeholders who occupy these spaces. Central this project thus are two of these components, mobility and unhindered access public space, which, as implicit in the design must be available to people regardless of the other factors which determine their place in the city. The drawings present the key idea, the imaginations of the city as an exclusive space, and physical design strategies and recommendations proposed to the site of Andheri (a transit oriented zone in Bombay)
