This project reimagines the Surat's old Chauta Bazar and the surrounding neighborhoods of the walled city as a vibrant, inclusive, and walkable place. It focuses on strengthening the interrelationship between markets, residential, and riverfront to restore the synergy they had in the past. The aim is to preserve the cultural and heritage character while allowing thoughtful redevelopment. With enhanced public spaces, increased identity, and improved daily lives, the project seeks to create a space in which one can live, work, and explore with ease & Joy—reinventing the charm of the old city and paving the way for the future ahead.
