The aim of the Area Planning Studio was to develop a comprehensive ward plan for the S. P. Stadium Ward of Ahmedabad. S. P. Stadium ward is strategically located on the western zone of Ahmedabad along the Sabarmati riverfront acquiring an area of 5.04 sq. km. The ward has a heritage value due to some landmarks like Navajivan, Karma Cafe, Gujarat Vidyapeeth and the very famous Sabarmati Ashram. Stadium ward also has the largest slum of Ahmedabad - the Rama Pir No Tekro.
