Behrampura being an industrial ward has large number of pockets of slums. Approximately 40000 people live there, lack of basic amenities, sub human living conditions and the threat of being evicted is day to day challenge. It becomes important to provide them with a place that could be called home and that provides them step to climb economic  ladder of opportunities and hence better living conditions.
