Bapunagar, a ward in Ahmedabad has a population of 1.83 Lakh and density 586 persons per hectare. The ward is analysed using qualitative tools like transects and interactions with the locals. Based on these, a detailed quantitative analysis was carried out through surveys, questionnaires etc., from which a VISION of Bapunagar was derived to be VIBRANT & CONNECTED, ensuring that the TOD and the development of the Malek Saban Lake do not engulf the vibrant socio-economic character of the ward. A comprehensive plan constituting complete street projects, open space programs and affordable housing were proposed for the ward.
