Bapunagar located in the eastern part of Ahmedabad, is a neighborhood with largely small scale and household industries and other smaller informal industries in and around the ward. Hence realizing the potential of the ward along with enhancing its primary assets was the vision to prepare the Ward Plan for the same. Through the ward plan proposals related to accessibility and walkability , housing options for all , open spaces in terms of smaller chowks and lake redevelopment , promotion of household and small scale industries and lastly regulating the TOD in context of the ward were addressed. Hence the main aim being “LIVE, WORK & PLAY”.
