Desalination Plant Project was proposed in Kutch region in order to meet the demand of industries in the region which are currently relying on fresh water sources of Narmada canal and other similar sources for industrial purposes. The project was taken up to understand the need of the project and to carry out feasibility studies for assessing water demand, suitable location for plant site, financial viability, procurement strategy for the project and also to do socio-economic analysis. The project is expected to complete withing 3 years from conceptualisation to implementation phase of the project.
