Water Channel

The main aim of this project was to know how the water flows in the channel and how to control it with using notches. Hypothetically designed three water channels of dimensions 120x160 mm with three different cases in each of the channel decides how the flow of the water divides at the junction. Notches of different shapes were used to control the flow and also the water level in the channel. The dimensions of the notches are designed with proper calculation and can be applied to real model. Also did case study on narmada canal to understand the basic.
