DESIGN OF INDUSTRIAL STRUCTURES

Studio III included 3 structures consisting of a Ink Plant, a 90m high RCC Chimney and a compartment type RCC Silo. The objective of the studio was to study the requirements of various types of projects, loading, behavior of the structure under various loads and along with it design and detailing of such structures. Wind loads, seismic load and other loads were calculated using various codes. Load combinations were made to assess the variation of stresses. Detailing was done for various steel and RCC components.
