STATIC VS DYNAMIC SEISMIC ANALYSIS FOR RCC BUILDING

The project aimed to simultaneously design and analyse a high-rise, Basement+G+12, RCC building for gravity as well as lateral loads. Project being proposed in zone 5; understanding building response to seismic forces and resultant design considerations proved crucial. Comparative study of static and dynamic methods of seismic analysis was performed to understand the direct variations observed in distribution of earthquake forces, base moments and its indirect effect on further design approach.
