Study of Backstay effect in building with podium

The project aims to analyse and design a B+G+12 residential high-rise RCC building. Additionally, the project focuses on the study of the backstay effect in a building with a podium. As per IS 16700:2023, sensitivity analysis needs to be considered in building with podium. In the sensitivity analysis direct load path (only tower area) and the Backstay load path (building with podium) need to be considered to study the behaviour of forces in the building, and elements need to be designed for the governing load path and load combinations. The sensitivity analysis is done by modelling different load paths in ETABS software as per the criteria given in IS 16700:2023.
