The primary objective of this studio is to design a steel structure adhering to the guidelines outlined in IS 800. My assigned project involved the design of an industrial shed for a CNC Manufacturing Unit. The scope of the project encompassed the following key aspects: Structural Analysis and Crane Design Analysis of various types of cranes, including EOT, Semi-Goliath, and JIB cranes. Application of relevant load cases, such as: Dead Load (DL) and Live Load (LL) as per IS 875 (Part 1 & 2). Wind Load as per IS 875 (Part 3). Earthquake Load as per IS 1893 (Part 4). Crane-specific cases and their load combinations. Structural Member Design Design of Purlins/Runners and Gantry Girders using plate steel sections. Detailed analysis of load paths and member behavior under combined loading conditions. Analysis and Modeling Development of 2D frame analysis and 3D modeling in STAAD. Specific modeling of gantry systems with separate columns to simulate realistic structural behavior, in accordance with the problem statement. The project integrates advanced analytical techniques and adheres strictly to Indian Standard design practices, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industrial standards.
