Exploring Indigenous Construction Techniques

In this studio we started with understanding about how mud, wood and stone can be used as a construction material by making models from it. Next we went for a site visit at Sinor. There we did measure drawings of a house which was made of wood. Next exercise was to identify the problems that was there in the existing house at Sinor and redesign it. The last exercise was to design an exhibition centre for craftsmen to exhibit his work like block printing. Models were also made of different joineries and materials that were used in design
