EVALUATING ENERGY USE OF STUDIO SPACES OF FT BUILDING

The study evaluates the energy use of different studio spaces (classrooms) of the FT building at CEPT University, Ahmedabad. The study was carried out using a 3D model prepared in Rhino software and the Climate Studio plugin and then energy use of each room was simulated. The simulation was first carried out using the original building envelope and then compared with the simulation obtained using minimum ECBC requirements for building envelopes. It found that the Energy Intensity Use (EUI) value for the FT building is more than the  BEE benchmark but using the ECBC parameters the EUI value was reduced.
