3D Modelling and Analyzing surface temperature for CEPT

The project focuses on analyzing surface temperature variation for the CEPT campus. The analysis was divided into two major sections. Firstly, a 3D GIS-based model was created for the CEPT campus, and later on, the variation in surface temperature based on in situ observations was studied in detail. To add to this, potential reasons for variation in surface temperature for the external facades of the structures were identified. This was mainly due to material type, incoming sunlight, vegetation and moisture. In order to mitigate the effects of high surface temperatures, mitigation measures were also proposed.
