 This course included learning about Components and different Types of HVAC systems, load calculations, energy efficiency strategies, Building Management systems, Fan laws etc. As a part of curriculum installation of Heat Recovery Ventilation was done in the class Room, and Coefficient of performance and effectiveness of the system were calculated. And for practical learning Site visit was conducted to the manufacturing unit for the better understanding of the installed HVAC systems and its operation through Building Management system. Though expert lectures we learned various strategies for natural ventilation and calculations for incorporating them in into a design. Simulations were done for a Building, through Design Builder software incorporating different types of HVAC systems and result were analysed and compared in terms of energy use and comfort hours.
