Mixed-Use Project

The Monsoon Semester III's Integrated Construction Practices studio within the Master's in Construction Engineering and Management focuses on practical applications of construction management concepts. It focuses on the importance of streamlined processes and effective collaboration. Using relevant software tools, such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), is integrated to enhance project management efficiency. The studio incorporates recent trends like BIM, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), and Lean Construction to address modern construction challenges. The practical dimension is emphasized through the selection of a mixed-use project where each of the group members takes on the role of a key stakeholder. This approach allows for a simulation of the construction process, aiming to identify shortcomings in traditional approaches and highlight the role of technology in construction management.
