The studio focuses on utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Lean principles to support Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) for complex commercial projects. For the selected project, a Commercial Hub, team members assumed roles such as Architect, Structural Consultant, MEPF Consultant, Contractor, and BIM Coordinator to enhance stakeholder collaboration. Tasks included preparing a BIM Execution Plan, Revit Modeling, Clash Detection, Quantity Take-offs, 4D & 5D Simulations, and Last Planner System (LPS) tracking. By leveraging a Common Data Environment (CDE) through platforms like Plannerly and Visilean, the studio demonstrated how an integrated approach improves project efficiency, reduces costs, and ensures high-quality outcomes.
