The studio incorporates the study of electric lighting analysis, performance and design with the help of DiaLux tool. It includes means of day lighting in a building in comparison to the type of planning. Understanding the B3 Excel tool to design windows to optimize daylight. Understanding the mirror box tool experiment again for day lighting. The studio had an exercise of optimizing daylight for a given building using the concepts of light well and borrowed day lighting. Whole building design was an exercise of incorporating all the understanding of 3 semesters to optimize the energy usage of a given building.
