PASSIVE COMFORT LAB

The main objective of Passive Comfort Lab was to study and understand basic principles of heat transfer through building envelope – walls, roofs, fenestrations. To understand this concept solar cooker was constructed so that an analogy could be drawn on the parameters affecting the performance of the solar cookers and similar measures that can be taken in buildings to improve their thermal performance. Course also  incorporates the significance of  passive design strategies in buildings through software like Climate Consultant and Dview, assessing thermal comfort and building simulations through energy modelling software like Design Builder and Energy Plus.
