Passive Comfort Lab

The passive comfort lab was on concepts and practices, systems and strategies, simulation techniques, physical measurement and data comprehension. It included the basics of building physics, thermal comfort, ventilation needs, climate response, and passive comfort strategies and life cost analysis to design an energy efficient building. Various strategies were explored on building envelope level. It helped us to recommend on the best and perfect energy conservation measure to recommend the client with respect to latitude and climatic zone and even look and the EPI and life cost of a building as designing a building energy performance needs a holistic approach of all the factors and understanding of which parameters affect the most building envelope and reason behind it. It helped us to understand the factors affecting the thermal comfort of a person and reasons behind it. The passive strategies that are involved to make a building naturally ventilated by keeping the indoors thermally comfort.
