Passive design techniques based on climate analysis and solar geometry were provided in the passive comfort lab, which focused on understanding the fundamentals of building physics and heat transfer in the building. To further comprehend these ideas, experiments were conducted by fabricating a physical model, including design principles, and then analyzing the results using software like MS Excel. Utilizing software such as Design-Builder and Energy Plus to simulate an energy-efficient building, the building energy simulations were further performed to study the impact of different strategies on energy consumption in the building envelope.
