The studio is concerned with the problem of planning and designing an appropriate road alignment in a hilly region where natural and built environment effects can have an impact. The studio investigated the issue of road alignment optimization in Gujarat's Idar region and Taranga Hills. The goal of proposing a route was chosen first, and an alignment was plotted. This alignment was modified for comfort, safety, cost, material, and environmental impact. Finally, with a Total Cost and Safety Plan, a road that matched IRC Codal provisions and client requirements was proposed. Click below to access the Booklet.
