Design of Parking Bay Space Using Timber

This course focuses on helping students understand the properties of various materials and their pivotal role in determining structural behavior, which is essential for effective design. Following a step-by-step approach, the studio guides students through the process of structural design using a combination of manual calculations and software tools. The current project involves designing a Parking Bay Space at CEPT University using timber material, harmonizing with the studio's theme of nature-inspired architectural design. Emphasizing stability and weight distribution, this hands-on learning method enhances students' ability to create resilient structures capable of enduring various forces and movements.
