Structural Rehabilitation

The Structure Rehabilitation Studio offers hands-on training in repairing, strengthening, and retrofitting reinforced concrete structures. Combining theory and practice, the program covers material behavior, failure mechanisms, and advanced structural assessment techniques using non-destructive (ND) and minor destructive (MD) testing. Participants cast structural elements (cubes, cylinders, beams, and columns) and evaluate them using techniques like ultrasonic pulse velocity and core sampling. Strengthening methods, such as concrete jacketing and FRP wrapping, are applied to pre-cast beams and columns, followed by rigorous load-bearing capacity testing. The studio bridges theoretical principles with real-world applications, equipping participants with essential skills for modern structural rehabilitation.
