Redesign R.T.O Circle

This studio aims to craft urban transport facilities, particularly intersections, ensuring safe, convenient, and economically efficient vehicle and pedestrian movement. Designing urban intersections demands precision due to the complex interplay of diverse traffic types and conflicting movements. The course is equipped with insights into road user behavior, the influence of surrounding land use, conflicting intersection movements, and data analysis. It delves into pavement conditions, traffic flow theories, and their impact on geometric design, traffic control devices, and intersection service levels. Through hands-on experiences in physical mapping, warrant assessments, and signal timing design, students gain practical knowledge. Leveraging this expertise, analyzes, and designs intersections for optimal efficiency and safety.
