Redesigning Palladium Mall Junction

Traffic engineering aims to craft urban transport facilities like intersections for the secure, convenient, and efficient flow of vehicles and pedestrians. Urban intersections demand meticulous design due to the complex interplay of high volumes of diverse traffic and simultaneous conflicting movements. The studio was equipped with the knowledge of road user characteristics, the impact of surrounding land use, conflicting movements, data collection, and analysis. Additionally, it will cover pavement conditions, vehicle flow theories, geometric design, and the design of traffic control devices. Analyzing warrants for provision, signal timings, and apply codal provisions to design efficient and safe intersections through physical mapping. Cover page credits: The Urbanlab Foundation
