The vulnerability of any cultural place to natural or man-made disasters is inevitable. Since the vulnerability of any site is determined by its environmental, economic, social, and political circumstances, it increases when the site is exposed to threats due to developmental pressures and uncontrollable crowd. The Temple complex at Jejuri is one such vulnerable treasure, which is also one of the four major pilgrimage sites in the state. The purpose of this research is to formulate a disaster risk management plan for the temple complex of Jejuri, by identifying previous and current disaster risks and analysing their potential consequences on the site's significance.
