From the past many years, the Roubaix city of France and its people are facing real-life issues like unemployment, a weak economy, and lack of open green spaces. To bring in a change in people’s lives, the project ‘Food Around” is being introduced.
The project “Food Around” is based around the lifecycle of food which will help in promoting the circular economy. To generate jobs, bring people outside their homes into green open public spaces where they will feel safe and free.
The idea is to grow fruit and vegetables on the empty open spaces and collective gardens along the canal. Such an urban agricultural initiative will provide food, but will also create a platform for the inhabitants of Roubaix to employ themselves about sustainable and healthy lifestyles.
