Research and documentation of such practices in India is limited. The lack of such documentation led to this research that spans on looking craft aligned studio practices in India to understand ‘how’ these studios are practicing craft-design collaboration model and ‘why’? 
The study dwells into the craft-design collaboration adapted by the designers in their practice. As a research, the document helps comprehend the underlying aims for such collaboration. The thesis centers on the process and the model of craft-design collaboration from the perspective of designers with an aim of establishing the prevalent paradigm of craft-design collaboration.
